THE FOUR
SKYRUNNING SERIES RACES
The Skyrunning Series starts in Robertson with the Langeberg SkyRace®, which features Arangieskop, the local peak and home of the race.
The series heads to the big city lights for the inaugural Cape Town SkyRace® starting from Homestead Park, Oranjezicht. The route is iconic, part of the legacy of The Special Edition, which takes you up to the highest point of Table Mountain.
The second away race and the third of the season is also a new edition to the Series, the Genadendal SkyRace® promises to deliver spectacular views to match the thrilling challenge of the two peak race into the sky.
Franschhoek is home to Mont Rochelle SkyRace®, the last race in the series, boasting the steep climbs and the sharp technical descents of Du Toitskop and Perdekop.
With the series taking place in winter, there is the possibility of snowy peaks on bluebird days or a good old-fashioned Cape storm. The races are short and sharp, and the experiences are infinitely bound to the authentic mountain trail.
All four races will count towards the Skyrunning Cup, which will be based on a runner's top best three performances over the entire series with points awarded for positions achieved by the top 40 runners.
